Rana Awad is a pharmacist and holds a PhD in Pharmacology and Drug Sciences from the University of Poitiers. Her research has primarily focused on pharmaceutical technology, nanomedicine, drug delivery and microbiology. During her PhD, she worked on the formulation and physicochemical characterization of lipid nanoparticles for antibiotic delivery and developed in vitro infection models to evaluate antimicrobial strategies against bacterial biofilms. She also gained experience in analytical chemistry through research in targeted lipidomics at the University of Montpellier, including the development and optimization of LC-MS/MS methods. She is currently an Assistant Professor under contract (Enseignante-Chercheuse Contractuelle - ECER) in Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Université d’Angers. Her current research interests focus on pharmaceutical technology, oral drug delivery, nanomedicine, drug encapsulation and microbiology.
Roxana Prieto Martínez obtained a Master’s degree in Nanomedicine for Drug Delivery through the Erasmus Mundus NANOMED Program, carried out across four European universities. During her studies, she worked on nanoparticle formulation, drug delivery systems, and their impact on the human gut microbiota through research projects conducted at the MiNT and HIFIH laboratories. She is currently a first-year PhD student at the same institutions under the joint supervision of Dr. Emilie Roger and Dr. Hélène PAILHORIÈS. Her doctoral research focused on the formulation, characterization, and biological evaluation of innovative antibiotic-loaded nanoparticles to avoid dysbiosis, considering the impact on the microbiota from the rational design of the nanoformulations.
Vanessa Lacazette-Sacilé obtained a Master's degree in Health Engineering, specialized in Drug Design from the University of Marseille (AMU). During her studies, she worked on development and characterization of local drug delivery system for glioblastoma at the GlioME laboratory in Marseille. Her research involved pharmaceutical formulation, nanomedicine, cell culture and physicochemical characterization. She is currently a Researcher Engineer in Formulation at the MINT Laboratory working with Marie-Claire Venier on the ANR GLUCOBOOST project, a regenerative medecine project conducted in collaboration with BO3A, BIA and AFMB
Victor Cougnon obtained his chemistry licence degree major drug chemistry in University of Angers, during which he worked on polymer synthesis for biomedical applications at Moltech-Anjou and MiNt lab. He obtained further a Master's degree in molecular chemistry at University of Rennes, while working on electrografting and post-functionnalization of mixed monolayers aiming for studying the distribution of different moities on pyrolyzed photoresist film (PPF) at the Institut des Sciences chimiques de Rennes (ISCR). His joint-PhD between Moltech-Anjou and MiNt lab, supervised by Pr.Hudhomme and Pr.Krupka will focus on the development of nanoplatforms incorporating perylenediimide for photodynamic therapy, including organic photosensitizers and polyoxazolines (POx) synthesis, photophysic measurements and formulation of nanoobjects.
